Full focus
I just finished my doctoral degree in California. I am extremely proud about it. Finally, after long years of sacrifices withholding my lovelife and all that can possibly distract my full focus on studies! Now, I am ready for the next step. Be an excellent doctor and start thinking about meeting the love of my life. Two days after I graduated, I flew immediately to Texas to visit my parents and start my planning to settle down in the town. I didn’t desire working in California. I thought that it will be more fulfilling for me if I would be able to serve the people in my own town and of course so I could be closer to my parents and all the people I used to grow with. My parents are involved in charities. Some charity programs they are actively pursuing are for less-fortunate children, elderly people and orphans. Before I went abroad to pursue my medical degree,I was an active member of our parish church. I devoted my Sunday spare time to the lord by serving the mass with the priest. I could say that with all humbleness, my parents were able to raise us with love and fear of god even when if we are already wealthy. I remembered that I always wanted to visit my grandparents in the nearby town. I haven’t seen them for almost 2 years. So this morning, I drove 20 kilometers from home to their house. It was a surprise so both of them were struck and tears fell on both their cheeks. They were tears of joy. They were happy that I took the time to visit them, then my grandma immediately work her expertise in the kitchen to prepare us a special dinner together.
I was surprised that they actually live modestly. I could say lesser than what they deserve so I immediately tell them that I will speak to my Dad about it so he could help them financially. My Grandfather said he already refused the help of my Dad before and they are fine although they are experience some shortcomings from time to time. They said that we should not worry because they have already applied for a Reverse mortgage loan. This loan was introduced to them by a close friend who is my uncle, a banker in the town.
